Manchester Airport’s new £10 million Premier Inn, delivered by Manchester Airport Developments (MADL), has opened its doors to the public.

Local business people, dignitaries and children from St Anthony's R.C Primary School came together to celebrate the official opening this week of the new, 195 bedroom hotel which has been developed by MADL - the property and development arm of the Manchester Airports Group (MAG).

The Mayor of Trafford Councillor Bernard Sharp and The Lady Mayoress Mrs Marilyn Lucas JP, cut the ribbon to open the new hotel and enjoyed a tour of the restaurant, meeting room and executive bedrooms.

David Roberts, Development Manager for MADL said of the scheme: “We’re delighted to be able to open this new hotel to add to our portfolio of hotel property here at the airport. There is increasing demand for quality, affordable hotel rooms close to the airport and this New Premier Inn is a welcome addition.”

Nigel Webb, General Manager of Manchester Airport’s Premier Inn said: "We are positive that the hotel will prove a success in the local area especially as we are located at such a prominent central site.

“We are very excited about the opening and both myself and the team are looking forward to welcoming our first guests."
