Office Scheme Off to a Flying Start

Manchester Airport Developments – the property and development arm of the Manchester Airport Group – has secured three new tenants for its 4M office building, achieving rents of £22 per sq ft.

Emirates, one of the strategic partners of Manchester Airport, has recently completed on 1,938 sq ft; Excel (formerly Air Atlanta) has taken occupation of 5,581 sq ft and a further 3,983 sq ft has been let to the Terminal 2 Phase 2 Design Team which reflects the scale and importance of this key terminal capacity development for the Airport.

4M is an 82,000 sq ft Grade A office development, completed in 2003 by Manchester Airport Developments, which provides high quality office accommodation over six floors occupying a prominent position above the Airport’ s Ground Transport Interchange. Existing tenants include UK IS, the immigration service, who occupy three floors and Select Service Partner who reside on the first floor.

John Atkins, Strategic and Development Director of Manchester Airport Developments, comments: “We are delighted to have secured these lettings high profile lettings to strong covenants. Even though there are a number of new office schemes coming to the market within the area, 4M continues to attract a lot of interest from potential occupiers and we are confident that the remaining space will soon be let.”

Only one floor, totalling 15,223 sq ft, and one suite of 1,846 sq ft now remain available. Lambert Smith Hampton and CBRE are joint agents.
